Fanans Long-Term Forest Plan: invitation for scoping responses.

As part of Tilhill Forestry’s commitment to the UK Forestry Standard (UKFS) and certification under the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS), a new Long-Term Forest Plan is being produced for Fanans Forest. The plan will set out proposed operations for the next 20 years and will look to gain felling approval for the next 10 years through Scottish Forestry. An outline felling programme is shown on the attached Concept Map.

A scoping information document which provides further information on Tilhill Forestry’s outline proposals is attached for review along with accompanying maps.

We are asking for comments regarding the new plan from relevant statutory bodies, local stakeholders and the wider community. If you would like to make a comment or ask any further questions regarding the Plan, please send an email to ConsultationWHN@tilhill.com by the 22nd of April 2026.
