BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing on A828 Connel Bridge between 17th May 2026 and 24th May 2026.
Due to the nature of the works and the narrow width of the carriageway, works will take place overnight, with bridge closures to vehicular traffic. The closures are planned to run for around seven nights starting on 17th May, with nightly closures between 19:00 and 06:00.
The programme will be weather dependent.
During these working periods, the bridge will be closed for carriageway users, and a signed diversion route will be in place. Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible with pedestrians escorted safely across the bridge when required. Access will be maintained separately for emergency services.
We understand that works of this nature can be disruptive and have been planned carefully to keep any impact to a minimum. BEAR Scotland and Transport Scotland wish to thank the local community in advance for their patience during these essential works.
